For those of us who are all-weather riders, winter is a season to be embraced. With the right gear, cold mornings change from freezing to invigorating and nearly all your insta pics feature #wymtm.
For those of us who aren’t so inspired to brave the elements, having a bike that you can so easily fold up and take with you on a train, tram, bus or motor vehicle is a real blessing. We get to enjoy a ride when the bright winter sun decides to shine, but there’s always an easy Plan B when the clouds roll in. #multimodal #FTW!

Brompton Logo Collection
Keep warm on or off your bike with the 2019 Brompton “Logo Collection” of apparel in store now. Knitted fingerless gloves and knitted beanies are sooo cozy – perfect to keep you warm at the footy or while you perch on the edge of that cold bench seat waiting for your train to arrive.

Brompton x CHPT3
Recently we’ve hosted David Millar (Scottish ex-pro cyclist, anti-doping campaigner, and co-creater of the CHTP3 brand) in store to launch the Brompton x CHPT3. This year introduced the second version of this highly sought-after special edition Brompton, so it was certainly no surprise when they sold very quickly. If you haven’t seen one ‘in the flesh’ yet, you should probably pop in ASAP to see the one we have on loan – while it’s still around! #CHPT3xBROMPTON
Gold Edition Brompton Bikes
Also arriving at the start of June were the Gold Edition Bromptons. Celebrating good fortune, prosperity, and Brompton’s 20th anniversary of trading in Asia the Gold Edition features a gold coloured main frame, custom serial number plate, a golden toolkit and a Brooks B17 leather saddle. - Brompton Maintenance Session
Sunday, 7 July (10am-1pm)
Winter is a great time to learn some basic bike maintenance. Over 2-3hrs we guide you through the basics of how to keep your Brompton on the road. This is a hands-on tutorial session for up to 8 people. Click here for more details and to register to join.
Note: there is a small fee for this session. - Brompton City Strollers – group ride
Saturday, 13 July (10am-noon)
Brompton Bicycle Australia and Rapha Melbourne have organised a group ride from the CBD along Capital City Trail, stopping in at Brompton Junction Melbourne, and finishing at Peddlr in Abbotsford.
So grab your Brompton (or hire one from us!) and wear whatever is comfortable (Lycra is not required) and let yourself be ‘tickled pink’ as roadies discover how much fun Bromptons really are to ride.
